A few things about the Artist
    Biography:

I was born in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, the oldest of six children, and grew
up on a small farm in southwestern Wisconsin. Summers were spent hoeing the
garden, helping with the haying, picking blackberries, and going barefoot.
Winters were spent stacking firewood, riding the school bus, working on picture
puzzles, and drying mittens on the wood-burning stove in the middle of the
    living room.

After graduating from Wauzeka High School, I attended University of Wisconsin-
Platteville where I met my husband in a Psychology class. He sat at one end of
the row and always managed to stumble over my feet as he made his way (just
barely in time because he was coming from work) to his seat. I finished my
college career at the Madison campus and then went to University of Wisconsin
Medical School all while living in the house my mother was born in. Much to the
distress of our neighbors, my grandmother insisted I feed the squirrels with
ears of corn stuck on a tree outside the dining room window.

Our next adventure was moving to Augusta, Georgia for a family practice
residency and a few years of private practice. Two sons kept us both incredibly
busy or so we thought until I got a job working for a large oil company in
Beaumont Texas and had a third son.

Life with three sons and a husband is never dull, but now all three sons are
mostly all grown up and out on their own. The oldest is a chemical engineer
working on fuel cell technology as part of his PhD at University of Texas, the
middle son is a mechanical engineer working on oil well technology, and the
youngest is a section supervisor/occasional acting plant manager for a palette
making company while he attends college.

Now my time is available to explore art and story-telling--something I've always
done since I was old enough to hold a crayon in my hand and beg for someone
    to read me a story.
